Questioning the validity of your thoughts can be a powerful way to begin living your life from a place of empowerment and integrity. Once you begin to think from an empowered perspective, you start tapping into your real strengths and potential, and exciting possibilities begin to emerge. Some of your challenges may still be there, but you will meet them with more ease and equanimity.

The aim of coaching is to help you to move from where you "are" to where you want "to be". It is always easy to find reasons for being stuck in an uncomfortable place and the reasons usually point the finger at other people and situations that are out of our control.

The unsettling truth is that our biggest obstacle to making positive changes in our lives is our own limiting thoughts and beliefs, which have become automatic and habitual.

Research has shown that focusing on thoughts creates synaptic pathways that become grooves in our brains, increasing the likelihood that we will think those thoughts again.

I had a lot of reservations about the value of Life Coaching before I began working with Jean. However that began changing when she showed me a better way to relate to difficult people in my life. I had always put others first, and myself last, which always made me feel resentful and unimportant. In coaching, I learned to value my own needs and to set healthy boundaries with other people. I started getting more respect from other people and I developed more self respect.

A huge change that occurred during coaching was the way I viewed myself. When I started coaching, my self-esteem was low and I was always trying to get approval from other people. But I began to appreciate myself and not to see my differences as a negative. I started taking pride in my strengths and abilities. Now I have several ongoing projects where I am using my creativity and I don’t worry about what other people think. Jean helped me to see that I can do almost anything if I believe in myself and think
positively.
